Physical Links
TouchNet provides a variety of Physical Links to facilitate the provision of Internet Access and Managed Services to its customers. These Physical Links provide high speed data transfer connections, and are available across various connectivity platforms. While TouchNet provides and manages the infrastructure and the networks around many of these links, a number of solutions are also made available through selected 3rd party service providers. In such instances TouchNet takes responsibility for monitoring these solutions and managing all service level agreements (SLA's) with 3rd party service providers to ensure high service quality, prompt fault resolution and minimal downtime. Internet Access
TouchNet offers two types of fully redundant breakout internet services:
- The Broadband based model at a low contention of 1:5
- Dedicated 1:1 Uncapped based model starting from 1Mb up to 500Mb
Mail Continuity
The solution provided by Mimecast provides everything an enterprise email strategy needs in a ready-to-use online best practice configuration. It removes the growing risks and complexities of business email management with a single web based platform at a fraction of the cost of alternate strategies.
Mimecast provides the software application services as well as the physical network, computing and storage infrastructure required to deliver comprehensive unified email management. These services can be taken as stand-alone modules or as a fully integrated bundled solution.

Mimecast’s unrivaled integration with Microsoft Outlook gives users a bottomless mailbox, while superior mailbox management capability helps reduce the load on Exchange. Litigation hold and regulatory compliance needs are supported by granular email retention policy management and near real-time searches. All stored messages are encrypted and tamper proof, providing evidential-quality data for legal or regulatory purposes.
Cloud Backup
TouchNet Backup Server Solution utilises i365 EVault software used by over 22,000 customers around the world. It is the global leader in secure online backup and recovery.
Using a combination of data compression and delta processing technologies, the amount of data required to move across the network is significantly reduced. In the standard configuration 10 days, 5 weeks and 12 months of retention are kept in the storage vault in the Data Centres. Retention policies can be customised but this will impact the amount of space utilised in the vault.
All of the EVault server agent software and Exchange and SQL plugins are provided free of charge as part of the solution.
TouchNet Backup Desktop/Notebook Solution provides customers with a low cost, highly reliable cloud-based data protection solution. Provisioned on the EVault Endpoint Protection (EEP) platform, this is an integrated laptop/desktop backup, recovery, and data security solution expressly designed to help control data across mobile workforces.
Virtual Server
TouchNet Virtual Servers & Storage Platform is based on VMware running on Dell servers connected using Fibre Channel over Ethernet to a high performance Xiotech SAN. This provides a scalable high performance service for the hosting of Virtual Servers.
The solution is based on a customer purchasing a pool of resources from which the customer can create virtual machines. This allows the customer to create and delete machines as required from the TouchNet Virtual Servers & Storage management console.
The pool of resources consists of a base set of resources to which you can add additional CPU, RAM and Hard Disk Space as required. A high performance disk drive option is now available, and offers in excess of 10 times the performance of already high performing standard performing disk drives. High performance disk drives would normally be used in large database applications
Hosted Exchange
TouchNet Hosted Exchange has been added to our extensive and comprehensive solutions offering in order to provide our customers with a robust, remotely hosted, outsourced and fully managed Microsoft Exchange solution which eliminates the capital expense. The solution, utilising the SaaS (Software as a Service) model, provides a high level of resiliency and redundancy.
TouchNet’s Zimbra Hosted Email Service is a truly modern and innovative messaging and collaboration application. AJAX based web collaboration is at the heart of ZCS 6.0. This powerful web client integrates email, contacts, shared calendar, and online document authoring into a rich browser-based interface.
Our Hosted Exchange offering ranges from 1GB up to 20GB mail box sizes.
